Day In The Park set for Saturday

Wednesday, October 8, 2003

The Marshall Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Day In The Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Indian Foothills Park.

The event includes activities for children and parents such as games, booths manned by community agencies, civic groups and service clubs, face painting and the chance to make crafts.

An Ident-A-Kid booth, offering information such as fingerprinting of children that would be used for identification if a child was abducted, will be set up in the Lions' Club shelter house.

A family parade will start at the Northpoint shelter at 11 a.m. and proceed to the park's new drive-through concession stand.

There is no charge for Day In The Park activities. For more information, call (660) 886-7128.
