Rease E. Bullard, 83, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at his home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Colby Smith and Rev. Zane Whorton will officiate. Pianist Julie Lewis will play "How Great Thou Art" and Don Martin will sing "Peace in the Valley." Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hazel Grove Cemetery in Herndon. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church in Marshall or the Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
Born March 30, 1920, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Lester Bullard and Callie Smith Bullard. On July 27, 1940, he married Eula M. Herman, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a 1938 graduate of Marshall High School. He was a member of First Christian Church in Marshall and a retail clerk and manager for United Super. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Additional survivors include two sons, Richard E. "Rick" Bullard of Marshall and Stephen Bullard of Versailles; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
