Mable L. Egan, 78, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Bothwell Regional Hospital Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Bob Peck will officiate. Organist Ramona Bullington will play "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art." Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Pete Melies, R.W. Mitchell, Greg Perkins, Bill Samson, Vincent Shrader and Sam Ed Yokley. Honorary pallbearers will be Darlene Cordes and Herman White. Burial will be in Blue Lick Cemetery in Saline County. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
Born Feb. 22, 1925, in Jefferson, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Jesse Moore and Lucy Mary Butenhoff Moore. On June 27, 1954, in Marshall, she married L. Harrison Egan, who survives of the home. She was a Saline County resident for many years.
Additional survivors include three sons, L.T. Egan and William H. Egan, both of Sedalia, and Mark D. Egan of Sweet Springs; one daughter, Linda White of Sedalia; one sister, Ruth Thomas of LaBelle; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Grace French.
