Mary Lee Voigt, 87, of Concordia, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at
St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia. Pastor Lee Hagan will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Good Shepherd Home.
Born July 16, 1916, in Lafayette County, she was the daughter of the late Martin H. Schnakenberg and Pearl Susan Green Schnakenberg. On June 7, 1942, she married Fred Philip Voigt, who preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1985. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia and had lived in the Concordia community her entire life. She was a homemaker and had worked for Lutheran Good Shepherd Home.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Tegtmeyer of Marshall; two sisters, Ruth Iiams of Concordia and Betty Meineka of Concordia; one brother, Warner Schnakenberg of Independence; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Voigt, and two brothers, Elmer Schnakenberg and Martin J. Schnakenberg.
