William R. "Bill" Foster, 64, of Concordia, formerly of Marshall, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia. Organist Kathy Oetting played the congregational hymns "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," "Amazing Grace" and "Beautiful Savior." Pallbearers were Mitchel Dittmer, Darren Starbuck, Stanley Oetting, David Small, Randy Paul and Wilmer Ziegelbein. Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice. Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia is in charge of arrangements.
Born July 20, 1939, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Ernest Foster and Alma Land Foster. On Aug. 2, 1963, he married Marjorie Dittmer, who survives of the home. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia and worked as a mechanic and truck driver and operated Foster Electronics. He lived in the Concordia community most of his life.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Debra Sinklear of Blackburn, Teresa Foster of Warrensburg and Barbara Ramey of Larned, Kan.; one son, Rickey Foster of the home; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
