Sylvia Eileen Dunham, 65, of Bolivar, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at Citizens Memorial Health Care Facility, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Pitts Funeral Chapel in Bolivar. Rev. Jim Friend and Rev. Jeff Julian will officiate. Music will be provided by Cheryl Bowers and accompanist Julie Julian. Burial will be in Schofield Cemetery, south of Halfway. Arrangements are under the direction of Pitts Chapel.
Born Jan. 16, 1938, in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late William L. Morris and Viola Choate Morris Pierce, who survives of Bolivar. She married Wayne Dunham, who survives of the home, and was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Additional survivors include two sons, Junior Hood and Jerry Wayne Hood, both of Marshall; one brother, Virgil Morris of Springfield; four grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Clarence Pierce.
