Naomi Hutson Walker, 77, of Windsor, formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Windsor Assembly of God Church. Rev. Gene Ekstrand, Rev. Ronald Grundy, Rev. Alonzo Thomas and Rev. J.D. Parks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Hadley Funeral Home in Windsor. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Climax Springs Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Windsor Assembly of God Church in care of the funeral home.
Born Nov. 17, 1925, in Climax Springs, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Eva Keltner Thomas. On Nov. 5, 1949, she married Freddie A. Hutson, who preceded her in death Jan. 5, 1987. On Nov. 25, 1988, she married Harrison Thomas Walker, who survives of the home. She worked at International Shoe Factory in Windsor for 28 years and then for several years at Vincent's Shoe Store in Windsor. She was a member of Windsor Assembly of God Church.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Linda Schirmbeck of Omaha, Neb.; one son, David Hutson of Ft. Collins, Colo.; four stepchildren, Karen Ballew of Macon, Teresa Berwaldt of Marshall, Lana Crawford of Marshall and Steve Walker of Slater; one sister, Jean Grundy of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two brothers, Alonzo Thomas of Blue Ridge and Roy Thomas of Lee's Summit; two grandsons; six stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harlen Thomas and Floyd Thomas; and four sisters, Lenna Flippins, Bessie Folsom, Nadine Garey and Virgie Husong.
