Joanne Bowman, 62, of rural Miami, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jason Crank, Josh Crank, Chris Livengood, Nathan Hoeflicker, Dustin March and Randy Jennings. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery in Miami with military rites at graveside. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born May 25, 1941, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Ervin Crank and Mary Belle Stoner Heying. She had lived in the Miami area since 1972 and was a farmer and homemaker. She was a graduate of Marshall High School and had been a 4-H leader for the Reynolds 4-H Club and a medical corpsman in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two sons, William L. "Bill" Bowman of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Kevin Bowman of Sweet Springs; two brothers, Roger Crank of rural Miami and David Crank of Miami; one sister, Barbara White of Purdy; one granddaughter, Mary Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion of many years, Bob Willis.
