Una B. "Bea" Johnson, 93, of Marshall, formerly of Brunswick, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Gibson Funeral Home in Brunswick. Gail Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her six surviving children. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Sumner. Memorials are suggested to Lakeside Cemetery.
Born July 27, 1910, in Plattsburg, she was the daughter of the late Archie Estle and Louiza Emeline Johnson Hooper. On June 14, 1930, in Carrollton, she married Claude Wesley Johnson, who preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1984. She had been a cook at various restaurants in the Brunswick and Brookfield areas since 1956, retiring in 1978. She was a former member of Mendon Christian Church and a current member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Marshall.
Survivors include three daughters, Claudia Wiseman of Independence, Laurel "Popeye" Robison of Pittsburg and Brenda Jones of Mendon; three sons, Larry Gale Johnson of Marshall, Terry Johnson of Sweet Springs and Tom Johnson of Marshall; one brother, Estle Dowell Hooper of California; 33 grandchildren; seventy great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sons, Dale, Wayne, Kenneth and Kevin Johnson; four sisters; and two brothers.
