Lorene Jacobs, 64, of Blackwater, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William Walton will officiate. Music will be provided by pianist Julie Lewis. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born April 14, 1939, at St. Catherine in Linn County, she was the daughter of the late James Earl Hampton and Virginia Edith Floyd Hampton. She was married to Alvin Jacobs, who preceded her in death. She had lived in Blackwater the last eight years and had lived in Centralia most of her life. She was a Baptist and had worked at A.B. Chance Manufacturing in Centralia for many years.
Survivors include one son, Terry Jacobs of Marshall; two brothers, Eugene Hampton of Chulouta, Fla., and Eldon Hampton of Blackwater; one sister, Marlene Hottel of Osborn; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Hampton.
