Clifford Leon Robertson, 73, of Sedalia, formerly of Marshall, died Friday, July 25, 2003, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Parkview Christian Church. Rev. Rodney Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 28, at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home in Sedalia, where friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Friends may also sign the guest register online at www.heckart-gillespie.com. Pallbearers will be Bob King, George King, Robbie King, Caine Langford, Jeff Wilkerson and Mark Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Boggs, Melvin Boggs, Joe Cornett, Jim Harris, Olen Howard, Cliff Kast, Marvin Kreisel, Bernie Newton, John Purdy and Larry Quinley. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Parkview Christian Church or Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
Born Feb. 24, 1930, in Howard County, he was the son of the late Romie Clifford and Edris R. Chipley Robertson. On April 26, 1951, in Glasgow, he married Gloria E. Wilkerson, who survives of the home. He was a member of Parkview Christian Church. He was a heavy equipment operator/superintendent for Howard Quarries, retiring in 1995. He had lived in Sedalia for 24 years, moving there from Marshall.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Jill King of Marshall; one sister, Evelyn Messer of Glasgow; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Robertson.
