POINT LOOKOUT -- Freshman Mark Schweitzer came off the bench to score 15 points Tuesday to propel College of the Ozarks to an 85-71 non-conference victory over visiting Missouri Valley.

The Vikings trailed by just one point at halftime, but the Bobcats shot 58.3 percent and converted 17 of 21 free-throw attempts during a 46-33 second-half spree. Valley made 37.5 percent of its shots, including only two of 11 three-point attempts, after the break.

Junior Steve Gray -- a 6-foot-8 State Fair Community College transfer from Hughesville -- helped Ozarks (2-0) control the paint, out-rebounding MVC by a 39-26 margin, with nine boards and two blocked shots.

Junior John Pace made six of 11 from outside the arc for a game-high 24 points for the Vikings. Freshman Jordan Olufson added 17 points and sophomore Darin Rehkop had seven rebounds.

Valley (1-1) will be back home Friday to host Hastings (Neb.).
