Lady Owls' Kirchhoff signs with Missouri Valley

Marshall High School senior Angela Kirchhoff will stay close to home to play college basketball.

Kirchhoff, a 5-foot-11 center, has signed an NAIA basketball letter of intent with Missouri Valley College. She is joining a Lady Vikings‚ program which completed an 0-33 campaign.

A three-year letterman and two-year starter for the Lady Owls, Kirchhoff - the daughter of Karl and Sara Kirchhoff of Marshall - was named to the all-NCMC and all-Northwest Missouri District squads following a senior campaign which saw her average nine points and eight rebounds per game. She led a young Marshall group which posted an 8-19 record, but reached the Class 3, District 8 semifinal round.

Kirchhoff accumulated 411 points, 469 rebounds, 107 steals and 50 blocked shots during her prep career. She has been listed in "Who's Who Among American High School Students" for the past three years.
