Four injured in Wednesday crash

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported four persons were injured in a Wednesday traffic crash in Saline County.

The MSHP reported that shortly after noon a 1988 Dodge Caravan driven by Bud Poff, 22, of Marshall was eastbound, crossing Route Y at the Interstate 70 exit ramp. According to the report, the Poff minivan struck a northbound 1997 Dodge Dakota driven by Mark Schelp, 42, of Concordia.

Schelp and Poff were both listed as suffering minor injuries and choosing to seek their own treatment. Two passengers in the Poff vehicle, Julie A. Green, 29, of Marshall, and Justin L. Poff, 4 months, were listed as suffering moderate and minor injuries, respectively. Both were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

According to the MSHP report, Poff was issued a summons for failure to yield.
