Three from rural Slater injured in crash
A single-vehicle crash Tuesday left three young people from rural Slater with minor injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash took place at 7:10 a.m. on County Road 134 less than half a mile west of County Road 127.
The report states 17-year-old Peyton S. Narron was driving westbound in a 1993 Volkswagen when he lost control on gravel. The car traveled off the south side of the roadway, overturned and came to rest on its side.
Peyton, as well as his passengers, 12-year-old Joseph J. Narron and 15-year-old Crystal C. Narron, suffered minor injuries. All had been wearing seat belts when the crash occurred and were later taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by private vehicle.
Peyton was issued a summons for failure to drive on the right portion of the roadway.
