Courthouse protest larger than expected

Marshall joined the national protest over racial injustice Sunday with a show of unity. There was anger, but not rage; civility instead of hostility; cooperation rather than confrontation. Even with nearly double the crowd expected on the north lawn of the Saline County Courthouse, some 300 people reflecting the community's cultural diversity listened to a dozen speakers for two hours on a sweltering hot afternoon without boiling over. ...
