Keep It Kind 65340 met Monday evening, Nov. 6, in the Wood & Huston Community Room, with more than 25 females in attendance, along with Diane Gillaspie, Marshall Public Schools director of curriculum, and MPS Instructional Coach Paulette Baker. Cari Pointer, local author and child activist, was the guest speaker for the evening, and encouraged the audience to support their friends by being their cheerleader, and never giving up on their dreams... -

License office to close for 2 days during transition

Those who need to conduct business at the Marshall License Office may have a few days’ wait next week as it goes through transition. The office will close at the end of the day Wednesday, Nov. 15, and reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20. Regular office hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays. Additionally, the office will be open on the last Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to noon...

Reception, workshop brings awareness to domestic violence

The Lighthouse Shelter and Missouri Valley College hosted a reception and workshop — with the goal of bringing awareness to domestic violence and relationship abuse — Tuesday evening, Nov. 7.
