City of Marshall to supplement Emergency Management funding

The city of Marshall will supplement the funding of the Saline County Emergency Management Department based on an annual per capita assessment. The City Council approved an ordinance to that effect at its regular meeting Monday, March 7. According to the ordinance, the emergency management department has determined it necessary to issue a $1.41 assessment per capita to all of the municipalities in Saline County "in order to continue to provide the needed level of services in emergency and non-emergency situations.". ...
