Saline County Historical Preservation Commission talks about grant approval

The Saline County Historical Preservation Commission had a meeting Thursday, Oct. 10, to discuss the final application for the Historical District they sent off to be examined. They hope to get approval back by December. The commission spoke about a few people who went out and took pictures of Odell Cemetery and determined some of the gravestones were damaged. Sweet Springs city clerk plans to retire after 30 years

City Clerk Ronda Nienhueser announced to the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen her plans to retire in April 2014 at the council meeting Monday, Oct. 14. "My intent, my plan, is to retire April 30, 2014," Nienhueser said.
