Hunters in Saline County harvested 678 deer on opening weekend of deer season. The season opened Saturday, Nov. 13, with hunters lining up at gas stations and pouring coffee into thermoses and making the hike to their stands. Of the 678 deer taken in Saline County, 322 were antlered bucks, 73 were button bucks and 283 were doe. Statewide hunters harvested 44,942 antlered bucks, 13,052 button bucks and 39,862 doe for a total of 97,856 deer during the weekend...
