Plenty of wind beneath their wings: Marshall High School graduates sail into the future

The day was windy. The speakers were not. In a little more than an hour Sunday, May 18, nearly 190 Marshall High School seniors strode through gusty winds -- some of them temporarily losing their caps in the process -- to claim their diplomas. In addition to remarks by Interim Superintendent Donn Quick, Board of Education President Anita Wright and MHS Principal Carol Smith, the large crowd of family and friends heard speeches by Valedictorian Chris Koehn, Senior Class President Bryan Beck and Student Body President Cortni Ervin.. ...
