The West Central Commissioners Association held its quarterly meeting in Marshall on Thursday, June 21. State Sen. Bill Stouffer (R-Napton) spoke to the group about plans for expanding Interstates 70 and 44. According to Stouffer, the interstates were built in the mid-1950s and into the 1960s. The interstate system was designed with a 20 year life-span and a traffic flow of 20,000 vehicles per day. Today I-70 has an average of 36,000 vehicles per day... -
