Reflood: Property owners in the Grand Pass bottoms scramble to stave off rising waters

Earthquakes often trail aftershocks behind them. The flood of 2007 seems to be trailing aftercrests. The Missouri River was rising again Friday, May 24, just a week after it had finally receded to below flood stage. The river at Waverly, just upstream from the Grand Pass bottoms, was at 22.3 feet at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, and was expected to reach 23.2 feet early Sunday, according to the National Weather Service Web site...
