Veterans receive support from the "Heartland"

More than 300 veterans from Central Missouri have had the opportunity to see their memorials in Washington D.C. because of Show Me Honor Flight and the efforts of many supporters. Thursday morning, Oct. 6, Heartland Medical Equipment in Marshall, donated $1,540.68 to the Honor Flight. Heartland Medical Equipment presented Amy Crump, director of Marshall Public Library with a $1,175 check. The library has now raised more than $8,000 toward its new carpeting fund. Heartland held a bake sale and raffled off a recliner for the library's benefit. Recliner raffled for library

Heartland Medical Equipment will sell raffle tickets for a recliner in an effort to raise money for Marshall Public Library's flooring fund. Library board members met Tuesday, Aug. 10, and said tickets will be available for $1 a piece or six for $5. The recliner doubles as an automatic lift chair to assist individuals in standing. A two-car accident involving a tractor-trailer left three Grand Pass residents with injuries on Wednesday, April 30. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1998 Pontiac driven by Sonja R.
