Vets for Freedom Heroes Tour 2008

In a last-minute change of schedule, the Vets for Freedom Heroes Tour decided to take a jaunt off Interstate 70 to spend a few hours Thursday, March 27, in Marshall. The bus was escored by the Saline County Sheriff's Department from Kansas City, taken around the Marshall square and finally arrived at the Martin Community Center, where three veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars spoke to a crowd of more than a 120 from Saline and Pettis counties.
