Van Meter Bird Workshop

Dana Ripper and Ethan Duke of the Missouri River Bird Observatory, based in Marshall, put on a winter bird identification workshop Saturday, Jan. 7, at Van Meter State Park. The event started with a slide show on how to distinguish between species of common winter birds in this area and included a workshop on building bird feeders and a demonstration of bird banding.
