Sidewalks were standing-room only at times during the downtown trick-or-treat event held Thursday, Oct. 27. Ghouls, goblins, Ninja Turtles, monsters, fairies and other mystical creatures swarmed store fronts for candy. Others made their way through businesses that had open doors to see what surprises awaited inside. The Marshall Chamber of Commerce-hosted event also included a hayride about the square, offered by Mid-Day Optimist Club. Marshall High School juniors also sold apple cider for patrons on the square.
