Marty Smith completed the race, coming in second in the men's walkers division, in spite of the fact that he suffered a heart attack just a few weeks ago. He said he is supposed to exercise 45 minutes per day anyway, so he decided to get his workout for a good cause. (Eric Crump/Democrat-News)
