The first fair queen -- Carolyn Rank (now Carolyn Erickson) -- was crowned during the 1959 Saline County BBQ. This year, the Saline County Fair History Committee honored her and all other past fair queens with a reception Saturday afternoon, June 7, and by recognizing them just prior to the crowning of the 2008 fair queens.
