Market on the Square season opening

Market on the Square, Marshall's farmers market, started its second season under sunny skies -- or rather, shaded from sunny skies under the canopy on the former Silverthorn building at the northeast corner of the square. The market will take place on the east sidewalk this year, relocated from the courthouse lawn by renovation work. Organizers said they were pleased with the turnout of vendors and patrons and hope to see the event grown throughout the season.
