2011 Bear Creek Blues Festival

The weather was generally good for the 2011 Bear Creek Blues Festival in Slater -- not too hot, not too cold, not too wet. And not too dry. A brief but moderately intense rain shower during the Lionel Young Band set sent some members of the audience scurrying for cover, some out to dance in the rain and some just continued enjoying the music from their damp lawn chairs. The lineup included Tugboat Soul of Slater, Jake Austin and the City Limits, Lionel Young Band, Sean Chambers and Albert Cummings. Stephanie Meyer won the raffle guitar this year, an acoustic Fender resonator.
