As the Army Corps of Engineers continues to release record flows from Gavins Point Dam, the Missouri River has been above flood stage in Saline County for over a month. Even if the river does not top local levees, the seep water it creates has already started to damage crops behind the levees. It is expected to get worse, the higher the river gets and the longer it stays high. These photos were taken on June 24, 2011 in the Miami river bottoms.
