On Thursday evening, March 19, a woman named Caitlyn Meier posted in the Facebook public group Project Quarantine 2020 suggested neighborhoods across the globe should start participating in bear hunts. Inspired by the book "Going on a Bear Hunt," Meier indicated this activity consists of people putting stuffed teddy bears in their windows or outside their doorsteps for children and their families to find. Originally starting off in Japan, the bear hunts have made their way to neighborhoods in various other countries, as well as cities. For the city of Marshall, residents have started to post in a designated Facebook public group of their own — Bear Hunt Marshall Mo — leaving pictures and addresses for parents' to find as they drive their children around the block.
