Youth between the ages of four and 18 were able to take part in various shooting activities at the second annual Quail Forever Corner Covey "No Child Left Indoors" youth event Saturday, Sept. 19 at Sweet Springs City Park. Different stations set up throughout the park allowed youth to learn to shoot trap and skeet with shotguns, practice 3D and paper target archery, and fire air rifles. In addition to shooting activities, a new station this year allowed youth to practice wildlife calls and guess the pelts of various wildlife. A pollination station was also added this year. The event was made possible by volunteers from Quail Forever, the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Sweet Springs FFA chapter.
