2007 Marshall High School graduation

On what was characterized as an "almost perfect" day for an outside graduation, Marshall High School's class of 2007 bid farewell to one phase of education and life and launched themselves into the next.

A flock of caps soars into the brilliant sky Sunday, May 20, as Marshall High School graduates celebrate the end of commencement exercises and the end of their secondary school careers with the traditional gesture. The MHS class of 2007 included 193 graduating seniors. (Eric Crump/Democrat-News)

MHS Valedictorian Amy Yeagle, quoting the venerable Dr. Suess, urged her classmates to change the world by starting with themselves, becoming the best people they can be. (Eric Crump/Democrat-News)

Though it wasn't brutally hot, with temperatures in the low 80s, the sun was bright and the day was warm enough that graduates probably appreciated the bottled water provided. (Eric Crump/Democrat-News)
