  • Great poem Shep! I hasten to add that one need not be a Christian to abhor crass commercialism, and gaudy energy wasting displays.

    There are those of us Christian, and otherwise who celebrate simply, contemplate a sense of the season, are humble, and happy.

    I agree - it's mainly the commercialism I see as a problem. Of course, as a Christian I think we need more Jesus included - but I can understand how non-Christians also see the commercialism as a problem and a distraction.
