I wanted to drop you a line to let you know you are not alone.
Please know there are many people praying for you: praying that you will find peace in the midst of this sudden storm of emotion; praying that you will find comfort in the kind words, smiles, hugs, and shared tears of friends and loved ones; praying that God will strengthen you with His grace and uphold you with His mighty right arm.
There are also many people who have gone through the loss you have recently faced. I know that doesn't make it any easier at this time, but please let the fact that others are supporting you in the shadow of a shared experience be of comfort to you.
I know I'm "preaching to the choir" so to speak, but it's always good to consider a few truths when we face the pains and losses of life.
First ... We must realize that life is in the hands of our Creator; that even the very next breath we breathe is a gift from on high; that we exist day-to-day only because His hand is upon us.
Second ... We must remind ourselves of our dependence on the Creator. I believe we all - at times - assume that our lives and our futures our in our own hands, but they aren't. No matter what we can do or what we can say or who we know or how accomplished we might be, He still has the whole world in His hands.
Third ... We must remember, during such times as these, that every minute of every hour of every day is a precious gift from God. And we should realize that, as such, we should use that gift wisely, joyfully, and for His glory.
I know you know these things -- in fact, you've probably said them to others hundreds of times - but I felt compelled to write them down for you. And I felt compelled to remind you that there are many people out here who "have your back" and would do all they could for you if they were asked.
Like I said - I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know you are not alone.
I remain a prayerful friend --
Keep the Faith
