Like many of you, I have known loved ones, relatives, acquaintances, and friends who have been -- and may still be -- affected by darkness others cannot see ... those who are troubled with Alzheimer's disease, some form of dementia, or maybe severe cases of seasonal depression.
The poem below comes from those times when I have been privileged to visit with, counsel with, or just sit with some of these folks. I hope you do not find it offensive in any way.
