It has been brought to my attention that my racing series, which I have been working hard on for the paper, has been called out.

Here is an ANONYMOUS note I received with no name or number to find out more information.

"Okay --- we've seen all the sprint car drivers in the area, how about some of our Stock Car Drivers.. there's several dirt late model drivers in the area. If you are going to do a complete article you must include them also."

So in order for me to do a story on a dirt late model driver or any other driver, I need help because the stories I have been focusing on happened before I was born.

And the documentation from that time has proved very difficult to find.

I am glad my series has caught the attention of many readers. Not many people my age would tackle a series that was before his/her time and try to document it for future readers or fans of racing.

My goal is to help keep the history of Saline County racing alive and so far, I think I am doing a good job. But to continue this work, I have to have help from others.

In our print edition, I can only run stories on drivers still residing in Saline County. Other drivers are welcomed on my blog. I am looking for drivers of stock cars, dragsters, sprints, micro-sprints, go-carts and any others that I have overlooked.
