Greetings from Sydney

As many of you know, former MDN staff writer Sydney Stonner left for China early in August. She's starting her new job this week as a teacher of English in Hong Kong.

She said when she left that she planned to continue her MDN blog to let the folks back home know how she's doing. However, lack of internet access so far has delayed that plan.

I did receive email from her this week:

"The past three weeks here in Hong Kong have been a bit of a whirlwind, which meant sporadic Internet usage. I haven't gotten around to setting up a blog either, mostly for the same reasons, but I am still planning on writing about my time here somehow. Tomorrow is my first day of school, and I'm hoping to have Internet in my apartment by the end of this week."

I imagine I'm not alone in looking forward to hearing more about what life's like in Hong Kong. I'm sure Sydney will share more when she can.
