Chris Shaw? Never heard of him

Of course I've heard of Chris Shaw. The Powerball-winner is currently Marshall's most famous and most sought-after resident. Something about a bunch of money...

To all the well-meaning people out there who are very eager to talk to Mr. Shaw, to offer him sound advice, to offer him a chance to invest in wonderful projects, to tell him about their difficult circumstances, and so on, please don't contact The Marshall Democrat-News. We don't know how to reach him.

And if we did, we wouldn't be doling his contact information out to all comers.

I'm sure we're receiving just a tiny sliver of all the correspondence Mr. Shaw is receiving, and it's not that we mind the calls and messages, as such. The proposals and projects and pleas are interesting. It's just that we don't have time to reply to them all, and I hate to think of people spending their time making appeals that won't reach their target.

If Mr. Shaw wants to be found, I feel confident he'll make it known how to contact him. He has the attention of the world at the moment, so it shouldn't be difficult.

If he doesn't want to be found, that's his biz.
