  • I wonder where Rep.Cleaver stands on gun control legislation ...and whether or not he will truly "represent" the majority of constituents in Missouri's 5th District when it comes time to vote on such legislation.

    I guess we'll see.

I think you know I don't favor, condone, or other wise suport the killing - by gun or otherwise - of anyone. I belive you are right on when you say things are entirely different between the rural and urban areas of his constituency. I was just questioning which way he might lean when it comes to legislation.

On another note - KC is also having a rash of people being killed in auto accidents and/or hit and run situations ... (And you know what's coming) So when do we outlaw cars?

    A sticky wicket indeed.

For the record - I have no problem with limiting sales of assault type rifles, or larger than necessary magazines. But I don't believe it is the government's business if I want to leave my hunting rifle to my son or daughter when I die or loan my hunting rifle to a visiting relative for a week during hunting season.

I believe this is a very slippery slope that we may not want to start down.

And ... I think the president dragging Sandy Hook parents around to make his case is outrageous and he should be ashamed.

Just my all so humble opinion - but it's mine. And that's what this sight is all about - opinions. That doesn't make mine right or yours wrong. We just disagree. That's one of the cool things about living in America (or it used to be).

If they are successful in messing with the second amendment, no telling what they'll do to the first.

Which part ... the Citizenship Clause ... the Due Process Clause ... the Equal Protection Clause... or the parts about no one who ever acted in rebellion against the union being able to hold office?

    There's a lot there.

  • Hey ND you think I could get a free ride on AF1?

It would only be fair to let someone from the other side get the same pirk.
