Friends of the library get first peek at upcoming book salePosted Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 8:50 AM
Next week is National Library Week. The MPL staff look forward to it because our wonderful Board of Trustee members bring food all week for us to snack on. We feel very appreciated and our stomachs feel very full.
Our staff is very dedicated -- always going above and beyond the call -- and I know that it would not be possible for your library to be as wonderful as it is without them. Please feel free to let the staff know how much you appreciate them next week (and all year, for that matter). In return, the library is featuring a special way to say thank you to the community, particularly those who support the library. We will have a book sale that runs from April 13-15, with a special Friends of the Library Pre-Sale Friday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Become a Friend with a $10 membership and you will be invited to three pre-sales annually. This is your chance to have first pick at the book sale. The public book sale goes from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 13; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 14; and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 15. We are swimming in books so be sure to come and score some great deals!
