Latest award-winning books available at Marshall library

I'm a little behind getting this information out, as it was announced on Jan. 23, but I suppose better late than never.

The American Library Association announced the winners of the youth book awards: Caldecott Medal, Newbery, Coretta Scott King and Printz awards.

I have listed both the winners and the honor books below.

Newbery Award

--"Me ... Jane" by Patrick McDonnell.

Coretta Scott King
--"Heart and Soul" by Kadir Nelson (author winner)
--"Underground: by Shane W. Evans (illustrator winner)
--"The Great Migration" by Eloise Greenfield
--"Never Forgotten" by Patricia C. McKissack.

Michael L. Printz
--"Where Things Come Back" by John Corey Whaley
--"Why We Broke Up" by Daniel Handler
--"The Returning" by Christine Hinwood
--"Jasper Jones" by Craig Silvey
--"The Scorpio Races" by Maggie Stiefvater.
