Senator Claire McCaskill will be holding a 'Kitchen Table Talk' on Thursday, May 14th. The event will be held in Slater at the 'The Grapevine Family Dining Restaurant'(311 N. Main). Stop by to visit, have lunch and talk about issues and concerns. Senator McCaskill wants to help you solve the problems you face every day and learn what you care about. Through a series of open forums her staff wants to hear your ideas and concerns. One of the senator's regional directors will be in Slater and wants to hear from you.

The Saline County Democratic Central Committee will be holding a Truman Day Dinner on May 30th at the Marshall Senior Center beginning at 5:00pm. The cost of the meal will be $12.50. Plans are still in the process of finalizing a speaker for the dinner and it will be announced as soon as a confirmation is secured. Tickets for the dinner will be available from all Democratic Central Committee members. For more information call: 660-529-3447.
