Sweet and Sour for Martinsville

Alright guys I'm back after a slight hiatus and just in time because Martinsville had its share of controversy. So let's jump right in.

Jimmie Vs Denny:

Jimmie Johnson does take the win on Sunday but that is after he bumps Denny out of the way. Yes rubbing is racing and so is bumping so I guess you can't fault Jimmie for going after what he wanted. I think Denny summed it up best in his post race interview when he plainly said that if he was in the same situation as Jimmie he would have reacted the same way and here's the kicker... next time he will. I love that I hope we find ourselves with the same situation in the fall race at Martinsville.

This morning I was reading a fellow bloggers rant on the eternal question of where has the personality gone in NASCAR. I mean we see a few flairs pop up here and there like Denny in the last two weeks but is NASCAR getting so politically correct that they are forcing the drivers to back off and in turn forcing some people to turn off the TV? Personally I love to see a driver get worked up about something...anything really! I want to know that they care what happens out there because dang it I care. We as fans get so worked up about things out on the track and it's nice to see that your driver gets just as worked up because let's be honest at the end of the day it's his tail on the line not mine. So I pose the question to you does a driver's personality and how they react to things on the track effect how much you enjoy or talk about the race later?

Now on to some guys who are working hard and getting things done out there; the ones who aren't getting attention in victory lane.

1.Tony Stewart: Tony posted his best finish so far this year at Martinsville with a third place. I am just waiting for his first win I know it's coming soon and it will be well deserved. I see big things for Tony and Stewart Haas Racing. The longer the year goes on the more it becomes pretty obvious that he made the right choice moving away from Gibbs and into a new chapter in his life.
2.AJ Allmendinger: This man wants a sponsor! It amazes me to see just how much he has progressed from even last year. I haven't even called him WALLmendinger once this year! But really he is racing with a purpose and with a top 10 finish at Martinsville he is racing to get the attention of a sponsor too.
3.Michael Waltrip Racing: I am completely impressed with this organization. They are a far cry from the shaky beginning they had a few years ago. I'm looking forward to seeing one of these guys in victory lane soon too.
4.Jamie McMurray: Jamie had another good race this weekend. I think Jamie has a ton of talent and just hasn't gotten everything to click so far so I'm looking forward to see if these good finishes are a sign of good things to come.

Alright guys that's all I have for this week, next week I WILL BE IN TEXAS for the race! So I'll have all sorts of pictures and video from that and will be updating here with links so you can all take part in the action there at the track! Have a great week and see you in TEXAS!!!

This week's video is up and running so go take a look at that! Here is the link:
