(Photo from Motorsports.com) Kyle Busch does his now famous bow after winning in Las Vegas this weekend.

Well we survived all the bad Vegas puns and even another episode of Digger and friends and ended up with a Vegas born winner, not to bad of a race. There were a record number of cautions and not one of them was because of rain! So let's get this started for this week...

The Sweet:

Kyle Busch wins Vegas:

And how does a winner celebrate after winning in his hometown...he buys 10 bottles of champagne costing somewhere around 5000 dollars and proceeds to spray it all over a crowd of people. Sounds just about right to me! Pictures and blurb on TMZ.

I was pretty excited to see Kyle take this one. I think he had cars that could have won the past two weeks so to finally get everything working his way and get that win in his hometown is great. A few random Kyle facts that I know you all are dying to know...

-Kyle Busch has 13 cup wins, all at different tracks...never repeated at the same track, yet.

-Kyle is also on pace to have the most wins under 25. Jeff Gordon holds that record right now with 15. Kyle doesn't turn 25 until next year.

The Sour:

Roush Fenway has engine issues:

-Matt Kenseth, David Ragan, Carl Edwards all suffer from blown engines during the race. I was so upset for these guys Kenseth's engine gave up on him within the first 5 laps and Carl's gave up right at the end of the race. Once I saw Matt and David's engines give out I spent the rest of the race just waiting for who was next. I hate it for Carl because he had a great car and would have ended up with a pretty decent finish. I know that's not how any of them wanted this race to end. I look for them to bounce back next week at Atlanta.

More sour for Mark Martin:

-I feel for Mark because he has so much more potential than has been shown these past few weeks. I know we all know that Mark has what it takes it just stinks that so far this season the bad luck has been stuck to him. Mark finds himself 34th in points and team mate Dale Earnhardt Jr. finds himself sitting at 29th. Points don't mean a great deal right now but here in a few weeks we will hit the cut off for the top 35 and some guys will be racing their way into the races. I don't think HMS needs to worry about these two they should be sitting way inside the top 35 once that time hits but it's always something to keep in mind as we come to the cut off. They defiantly don't need any more bad luck.

Question of the week:

1.Do you think it's too early for all the Jeff Gordon retiring talk?

Alright so on to Atlanta which is another mile and a half track. Thanks for reading and ALL your comments! Don't forget to check out the video you can find it here:

Have a great week!

I wonder if they can get one more ad on the cars? The money decides the outcome of races...nuff' said.

Vegas sure doesn't seem to be as easy to race as it was before the remake. We saw several races there over the years with only one or two cautions. Between Nationwide and Cup, they were really mixing it up.

How about that save of Jamie McMurrays??? If he needs a resume tape, THAT should be on it.

Oh I know the save from Jamie McMurray was amazing! He was practically drifting through most of that turn. I couldn't believe it. lol

I agree about Vegas being a totally different track since the remake, I couldn't believe the amount of cautions this past weekend. As always thanks for the comments!

I'm a little late on this one, but the track does seem to be more difficult to drive since the remake. From the looks of it most of the cautions were drivers over-driving. This track takes a little more finesse than before the re-make from what I understand. My biggest surprises were Kyle (Nationwide) and Jimmie (Sprint) both got loose by over-driving. Jimmie could have saved it, I think, if it weren't for the speedy dry. I was just surprised that as talented as the two of them are, they both wrecked without help.

As for Jeff Gordon, I think it is a few years to early to talk retirement. Of course with the "youth movement" he is a little old. I still think he has 3-6 good driving years left before he would consider retirement. Remember he less than 20 wins away from 100 and I think he wants to at least try and make that number. Actually 3 more wins will tie him for third all time and 24 will time him for second all time. I think he will determine when to retire based on how his quest to take over second all time goes.

Anyway, on to Atlanta! I hope the Roush guys got their engines right this week. AJ made the race so I hope he does well. With a good finish in Atlanta he can practically lock himself inside the top 35 and not have to sweat so much at Bristol which will be the last race using last years points. And with Speed still in 36th, Red Bull isn't looking very smart right now! I love it!
